Dr. Roberta Muldoon is Assistant Professor of Surgery, Colon and Rectal Surgery, in the Division of General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Muldoon is trained in both minimally invasive procedures (laparoscopic) and traditional open procedures. Her surgical interest is in all aspects of colon and rectal disease and treatment, particularly colon and rectal cancer, diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, sphincter reconstruction, and benign anorectal disease.

Research and Publications

Dr. Muldoon has been involved with national multi-center research projects, and has published articles and reviews. She has presented her work at various national meetings. Review some of her abstracts on PubMed.
