SCIENTIFIC WRITING AND EDITING FOR RESEARCHERS AT VANDERBILT (SWERV)
SWERV is a VUMC sponsored service whose goal is to provide for, enhance, and/or facilitate scientific communications collaborations within the Division of Hematology and Oncology. We are scientists with advanced degrees and extensive experience in both laboratory research and editing of scientific content.
SWERV aims to help researchers succeed with their funding and publication efforts by providing in-depth advice and specialized services to maximize the clarity and quality of scientific documents. We work with faculty members to improve their grants, manuscripts, and presentations by assisting with the mechanics, style, clarity, presentation, and science of their projects. Faculty can select the level of editing and development they want us to provide. We also provide seminars, workshops, and one-on-one training for students and junior faculty.
Services can include:
- Editing and Proofreading
- Grant Development
- Manuscripts
- Figure Development
- Custom illustrations
- Presentations and posters
- Writing Workshops
- Data Analysis
- VUMC website development
