Hello and welcome to Vanderbilt Health Service Nursing!

My name is Laura Beth Brown.  I serve as the Senior Vice President of Vanderbilt Health Services (VHS) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  I am a Registered Nurse and have been serving in this role since 2012.

Vanderbilt Health Services serves as a holding company for the Medical Centers' ownership interests in partnerships and other affiliated companies.  They are member-managed and located throughout middle Tennessee and Kentucky.  Nurses serve in different roles at many of the companies. 

The nurses serving at the companies within VHS serve as an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team contributing to quality outcomes for patients and their families. Shared governance and professional growth are the cornerstone of the clinical practice in addition to patient-centered care, safety, and evidence-based practice.  Vanderbilt Health Services works with nurses and leaders throughout the medical center to integrate processes while defining personalized care for the people we service in our communities. 

Joanie Jeannette, Associate Nursing Officer works closely with all the nurses throughout VHS to integrate care and provide support. Joanie has been part of Vanderbilt since 2015 and moved into this role in 2023. Her goal is to collaborate with the VHS partners to provide the best care in the region.  She has served in numerous leadership roles throughout her career and is proud to be a Vanderbilt Nurse.
