VPARE Information for Mentors: Mentors
I may be interested in becoming a local mentor for VPARE. What does this mean for me?
- The goal is that mentors will be local and thus have an in-depth understanding of the nurses' work and help guide them in the planning and submission process.
- A mentor supports ongoing growth and professional advancement, increases staff engagement and satisfaction, and is a mutually beneficial relationship.
- To sign up to be a mentor, fill out this form (link).
- Once you have completed training, you will then begin assisting applicants once they share that they are ready to start the process. You will be able to mentor them from the very beginning!
- Expectations include being responsive to your email, familiarizing yourself with the rubrics, and guiding staff in aligning there work with the rubrics.
