• Nurses providing direct patient care who are in full-time or part-time positions.
• Have been in their current role (job location and RN 2/LPN 2 or above ) for a minimum of 1 year.
• Fully met or exceeded expectations on their performance evaluation completed within the past year. This includes satisfactory peer feedback, elements of performance, credo, compliance, and overall score.
• Has completed all organizational and area-specific competence for the current year
• Is in good standing. Not on a written or final performance plan.
• Specialty certification required for RN4 applicants.
• Begin by having a conversation with your leader.
• If you are ready to apply within the next 3 months, ask your leader to fill out an intent to apply form.
• You will then be assigned a mentor to assist you with aligning your work with the standards and help you build an application that best highlights your work.
• PRN nurses
• Term professional nurses (a position expected for at least 6 months, but usually not more than a year. Usually created to fill a special need)
• Contract nurses
• Nurses on performance improvement plans, written or final (must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months of consistent performance after the performance improvement plan ends).
