My work involves non-invasive imaging of cardiac, vascular and adipose tissues and risk factors cardiovascular disease.
I am interested in measuring cardiovascular disease risk through the use of non-invasive CT, MR, and ultrasound imaging to quantify atherosclerosis, cardiac structure and function, and adipose tissue deposition. I am also interested in cardiovascular disease risk factors including lipids, diabetes, and inflammatory markers. Our imaging techniques have been used to measure cardiovascular risk in studies ranging from small clinical trials to large epidemiologic cohorts including MESA, CARDIA and Jackson Heart Study.
