I am interested in developing and translating novel MRI imaging techniques to better understand the pathophysiology of neurological diseases in the brain and spinal cord.
My research is focused on developing quantitative MR methodologies throughout the entire spinal cord, including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar. My current work is focused on developing diffusion MRI in the lumbar and thoracic cord and evaluating new CEST MRI techniques in the cervical cord. Both will be used to improve our understanding of neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
