Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone was able to attend the Women's Health Research yesterday! At our next meeting: March 10, 2022, Jackie Piekos, MS will be presenting on building and validating polygenic risk scores in various populations, European, African, and combined.
Jackie is an Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Biological and Biomedical Sciences student at Vanderbilt University. She currently works with the Velez Edwards and Edwards lab, in which they are interested in using and developing new genomic and statistical analysis tools for research. We then use these tools in our research into the genetics of women’s health and reproductive phenotypes.
