Dr. Timothy Springer is the Latham Family Professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School and a principal investigator in the Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He joined us as a guest in the Discovery Lecture series on February 8 in Light Hall. He presented on the soul of the integrin machine and discussed recent studies using FRET (fluorescence resonance energy transfer) microscopy to study the “moving parts” of integrin adhesion receptors.
