Madi Baltagulov

Madi grew up in Almaty, Kazakhstan, moving to Kent, CT, for high school. At Vanderbilt, Madi spent a full year in Bordenstein lab working on Wolbachia. Madi is currently working with Nicolas, studying the way diet affects host susceptibility to pathogens. In his free time, Madi enjoys playing racquetball and ultimate frisbee with friends, debate, as well as watching MMA competitions.
