Amanda Stone, PhD

Amanda L. Stone, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Stone's research focuses on the intergenerational transmission of health beliefs and behaviors from parents to children. The majority of her work has focused specifically on pediatric pain. She is actively involved in a number of national and international associations committed to pain research and raising awareness of evidence-based interventions for acute and chronic pain. 

Dr. Stone received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Vanderbilt University, completed her pre-doctoral clinical residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University.
