Sarah Loch, MPH
Sarah’s interest in public health focuses on creating systems that promote equity in opportunity and care. Understanding the lasting impact experiences of childhood can have across the lifespan, Sarah chose to pursue a career focused on the wellbeing of children and families.
Prior to joining the Center for Child Health Policy, Sarah worked in academic research for six years managing pre- and post-award operations and a portfolio of national and international research focused on cardiovascular disease outcomes. Most recently, Sarah was the Program Officer for In-home support at Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee (PCAT). At PCAT, Sarah led the implementation of evidence-based home visiting programs in 16 Tennessee counties, educating stakeholders about Adverse Childhood Experiences and primary prevention. Additionally, she supported state-level legislative advocacy efforts to benefit children, families, and trauma-informed practices.
Sarah holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh and is Certified in Public Health (CPH) through the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Sarah serves on the Healthy Families Tennessee Regional Advisory Board and sings with the Vanderbilt Community Chorus.
