Dane M. Chetkovich, MD, PhD
Dr. Chetkovich is a neuroscientist, neurologist and professor and chair of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical School. Dr. Chetkovich is a graduate of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his neurology residency and then a postdoctoral fellowship focused on basic mechanisms of neurological disease at UCSF. He joined Northwestern as an assistant professor in 2002, then served as professor of Neurology and Physiology and the Director of the Feinberg School of Medicine Medical Scientist Training Program before becoming chair at Vanderbilt in 2017. His research laboratory is focused on the molecular mechanisms that underlie neuropsychiatric diseases. He has been an invited speaker at lectures and conferences nationally and internationally. Dr. Chetkovich is a member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certification Committee, preparing exam questions for board certification for neurologists across the country.
