Taking Care of You: Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
The experts at Vanderbilt Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery provide care for patients with a wide range of aesthetic and functional conditions of the face and neck. Our surgeons are board-certified in both otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and have received extensive specialized training in both areas. Our fellowship program and cutting-edge research programs contribute to the U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of Vanderbilt Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery as one of the top-tier Ear, Nose and Throat programs in the nation.
Patient Care Excellence
Vanderbilt Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is one of two medical centers in the nation that offers the option of a combined microtia and atresia surgery, as well as one of the only medical centers to offer electromyography (EMG) guided Botox treatment at our Facial Synkinesis Clinic. Our team specializes in facial nerve grafting and reanimation procedures. We are investigating potential new treatments for synkinesis, as well as new methods and materials for reconstructive ear surgeries.
Vanderbilt Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery utilizes a variety of advanced testing options, including CT scans and endoscopy, to evaluate airway function for nasal breathing or nasal obstruction issues. We also work closely with other specialty departments to create unique treatment options and breakthroughs in research. We strive to address a patient’s functional and cosmetic needs by offering combination procedures such as sinus and rhinoplasty surgery.
