Kenneth Watford, MD, DNP, NP

Associate Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

Ken Watford completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Delta State University and graduated with highest honors in 1986. In 1992, he returned to Delta State and completed his Bachelor’s of Nursing while graduating summa cum laude. He spent two years working in emergency nursing. In 1995, he continued his formal education at Vanderbilt University in the School of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner Program and completed his Master’s of Science in Nursing in 1996 then continued his graduate studies in the Acute Care Program with an emphasis on emergency medicine.

Upon completion of his graduate study at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Watford served with the National Health Service Corps for three years while providing primary health care to patients in medically underserved regions of the United States.

In 2000, Dr. Watford joined the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and in 2011, he completed his Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Vanderbilt University. His clinical interests include ear disorders, specializing in the management of patients with vertigo and dizziness.
