The Vanderbilt Hemostasis Treatment Center provides comprehensive care to individuals with inherited bleeding disorders. Committed to patient care, education, and clinical research, our team brings over 75 years of experience, knowledge, and caring for people with hemophilia and other blood disorders.
The mission of the Vanderbilt Hemostasis Treatment Center (VHTC) is to provide the highest quality treatment and compassionate care for adults and children with bleeding disorders.
The clinic provides comprehensive health promotion with an emphasis on prevention, and offers a variety of services for patients with bleeding disorders. We also offer many opportunities for our patients to participate in current bleeding disorder research.
The Vanderbilt Hemostasis Treatment Center is one of three federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTC) in Tennessee and is part of a regional network of over 135 HTC's in the United States. HTC in this network abide by federal guidelines for the delivery of comprehensive hemophilia services as developed by the Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF). The VHTC is also one of five state funded centers.
