We are delighted to present the Outstanding Operational Partner Award to Cathy Ivory, Associate Nurse Executive, Nursing Excellence and Associate Professor of Nursing. The award was presented by Sunil Kripalani, MD, MSc, Vice President, Health Systems Science and Marilyn Dubree, MSN, RN, Executive Chief Nursing Officer. Dr. Ivory was recognized for her leadership in bridging research and clinical programs in nursing, service on the Learning Healthcare Steering Committee, and collaboration on RAPID-LHS initiatives.

 | Revolutionizing Healthcare – Pragmatic Trials and Implementation Science: A Collaborative Approach to Health System Improvement Hayden Bosworth, PhD, MS |

Dr. Bosworth is a health services researcher with four overarching areas of research: 1) clinical research that provides knowledge for improving patients’ treatment adherence and self-management in chronic care; 2) use of implementation science to improve healthcare delivery; 3) eliminate health care disparities; and 4) training the next generation of clinical researchers. Dr. Bosworth has expertise in patient-centered, multidisciplinary self-management pragmatic trials and programs for adults with chronic disease. He develops and implements scalable/sustainable interventions to improve health behaviors and reduce the burden of chronic diseases in the context of real-world environments. These trials/programs focus on addressing barriers to care at the patient, provider, and system level. |

Poster Session Information
Call for Poster Submissions!
The poster presenter must attend the in-person poster session on May 14, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:30 am and be available to hang the poster between 9:00 am and 10:00 am.
The in-person poster session will accept posters that present projects or topics in the following topic areas:
- Implementation science
- Quality improvement research
- Embedded research in the learning health system
Please determine if your research project fits within these topic areas. We welcome both work-in-progress and completed work!
If you are unsure if your research project is a fit, please email Dr. Lyndsay Nelson at lyndsay.a.nelson@vumc.org or Dr. Autumn Zuckerman at autumn.zuckerman@vumc.org.
Poster Registration
Please complete your poster registration by April 19th, 2024 11:59 PM CT
Information needed for the registration form includes: project status, topic area, poster title, and author list. You do not need to enter an abstract.
Poster Prizes
- Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to winning posters in the following categories: Best Work-in-Progress, Best Completed Work, People's Choice
- Judges will determine winners for Best Work-in-Progress and Best Completed Work.
- Posters will be judged based on the following criteria: Visual appeal, Clarity of content, Oral presentation of poster, Overall impact
Poster Preparation
- Poster Size: Prepare poster to fit on a 4' H x 6' W poster board. Recommended poster size is 36" H x 48" W. We are trying to keep poster sizes consistent across presenters; however, it is fine if you need to reuse a poster from another event with different size requirements.
- Poster Format: The content should be visible from a 2-3' distance. Any arrangement is allowable but consider the new "better poster" format. To learn more about the "better poster" format, please check out the following resources: NPR Health Shots Article and YouTube Video.
- Poster Printing: The VU BRET Office is an option.
