The Learning Platforms & Analytics team act as a resource and reference for all the learning platforms across VUMC. Additionally, we provide leaders insight to their learning/training initiatives through data analysis and visualization to help measure effectiveness and guide decision making, including regularly scheduled reports on specific training initiatives.

Amanda Reece - Manager A Nashville native, Amanda grew up all over Middle Tennessee and was even born here at Vanderbilt. Amanda started her tenure at VUMC as an intern while attending Peabody College at Vanderbilt University, where she earned her Master's of Education in Organizational Leadership. She has since spent 8 years managing The Learning Exchange for the organization. When she's not at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. |

Thomas Strandquist - Learning Consultant Coming from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Thomas began working at VUMC in November 2019 as a learning consultant. With strong communication and analytical skills, Thomas is able to take complex data sets and communicate the insights the data provides through visualizations. He works hand-in-hand with our customers, ensuring their visualizations are meeting their needs and providing key information to help them make strategic decisions. Working behind the scenes, Thomas helps manage and maintain Skillsoft's Percipio, a learning platform available to all within the VUMC enterprise. He enjoys listening to music, staying active, and spending time with his friends. |

Lisa Williams - Learning Consultant Lisa is proud to be a new addition to the Learning Platforms & Analytics Team. She has 10+ years of teaching, research, and assessment experience, and is committed to providing clear, accessible, and inclusive educational materials to learners. Her own research has focused primarily on culturally responsive teaching, and she also writes about horror films. Lisa's free time is spent at the Belcourt Theatre, attending concerts, and hanging out with her spouse and their three pets: Mabel, Louise, and Oslo. |
Ariel Dunham - Senior Learning Analyst A native Tennessean, Ariel has 15 years in management, customer service, employee relations, and adult learning development in Retail and Loss Prevention for Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee. She has experience in assessing the training needs of diverse populations and collaborating with teams for their implementation. Ariel began her role at VUMC in January 2019 as a learning analyst, where she provides all admin and learning support for VUMC's Learning Management System (The Learning Exchange). When not at work, she can be found with her binoculars birding in East Nashville at Shelby Park and Bottoms or crafting with her cats in front of the TV. |

Susan Dunlap - Senior Learning Analyst With a Master's Degree in Psychological & Quantitative Foundations: Educational Statistics and Measurement from the University of Iowa and 7+ years of experience with data analysis, Susan takes pride in making complex data accessible to others. The former teacher and research analyst began her role as a learning analyst at VUMC in July 2018, applying quantitative and qualitative techniques to help inform and drive decisions regarding learning and development. She enjoys the challenge of learning new skills across multiple disciplines, within both her professional and personal life. Her free time is dedicated to reading, crafting, and trying new recipes, often with her daughter acting as her assistant. |
