ME-RIT: Music-Based Social Engagement Telehealth Intervention for Young Children with ASD and their Parent/Caregiver

Principal Investigator: Dr. Miriam Lense, PhD

The Music-Based Social Engagement Telehealth Intervention for Young Children with ASD and their Parent/Caregiver study is a study opportunity for parents of children with ASD aged 16-60 months old. Parents participate in ~10 weeks of virtual play and intervention sessions and learn strategies based on Reciprocal Imitation Training (RIT) to support their child's social interactions during musical and non-musical activities.

Participants will complete questionnaires about themselves and their child, attend 1-2 sessions per week for ~10 weeks, and complete a knowledge quiz on the online training curriculum.

Participants are compensated up to $50 for participation. Please contact socialmusicresearch@vumc.org or call/text 615-873-0852 for more information.
