Storytime with the Nashville Symphony
The Music Cognition Lab is partnering with the Nashville Symphony to host an interactive music and storytime event on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. This event will involve stories, movement, and music from a violin-bassoon duo from the Symphony. We are proud to offer ongoing opportunities for early childhood musical engagement to give back to Nashville families.

The Music Cognition Lab is excited to invite you to our Open House! Come meet the scientists, observe research demos, and enjoy live music and drinks!

Dr. Gordon Receives NIH New Innovator Award

Dr. Gordon has received a highly competitive New Innovator award, part of the NIH’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program, given to exceptionally creative scientists proposing to use highly innovative approaches to tackle major challenges in biomedical research. “I am honored and thrilled to be a New Innovator recipient, as this particular project really speaks to my professional mission to work across disciplinary boundaries to enhance our understanding of how and why musicality is related to brain development and human health,” Gordon said.
