Joey Barnett, Ph.D., Assistant Dean of Physician-Researcher Training and Director of the Office of Medical Student Research (the Inquiry Program), chaired and presented in an April 6th Symposium at the Experimental Biology meeting in San Diego “ORPHEUS*-Developing Best Practices for Graduate Education in Europe” *(Organisation for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System). On April 11th, he was an invited speaker at the “NIGMS Symposium on Catalyzing the Modernization of Graduate Education” which was live cast from the NIH in Bethesda Maryland.

Andre Churchwell MD, was nominated for his “outstanding contributions to the interface of clinical cardiology and biomedical engineering for patients and as a mentor for trainees, educators and young investigators,” reads his nomination.
