March 9, 2006: Is There a New Toxicologist in Tennessee?

I am pleased to announce that Saralyn R. Williams, M.D., has joined the Tennessee Poison Center and Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  She comes from University of California, San Diego where she has worked as a medical toxicologist for the California Poison Control System and an emergency physician.  Saralyn will be assisting me in providing physician back-up for Tennessee Poison Center.

Following an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Emergency Medicine, Saralyn completed a Medical Toxicology Fellowship.  Saralyn is a diplomate of the Board of Medical Toxicology and Emergency Medicine. 

You may have already received an announcement regarding Saralyn’s arrival.  I hope you will have the chance to meet Saralyn soon - either by phone or in person.
