Message From David Posch: A Look at FY22 Priorities

The executive team and I are grateful for the team’s exemplary work and incredible successes achieved throughout FY 21. Your performance was even more exemplary considering the many pandemic-related curveballs that were thrown your way.

As we begin FY 22, I wanted to take a quick look ahead at the Pop Health team’s main priorities. The priorities fall into three primary areas:

  • Accelerate growth. The new fiscal year will bring an emphasis on activating new contracts that use Vanderbilt services and/or the VHAN network, increasing the number of lives under VHAN value management, and boosting the number of enrollees in the MyHealth bundles program.
  • Drive innovation. Our transformational goals include developing EMR-enabled Pathways at Vanderbilt Health to standardize care, building two new bundles and promoting a virtual care delivery model to VUMC employees. We also aim to expand behavioral services.
  • Continue to increase clinical and financial performance. The team will focus on delivering market-competitive savings to the VUMC Employee Health Plan, maintaining VHAN’s financial viability and achieving a high composite score of VHAN quality metric performance.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to our shared goal of improving the health of the patients and communities we serve. Enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation over the long Fourth of July weekend!
