Behavioral Health Team's Consult Line Reaches Milestone in Provider Support

The VHAN Behavioral Health team works to help VHAN members address the stigma associated with childhood mental illness and equip pediatricians with behavioral health support. On April 26, the team celebrated the 2,000th call to its Provider Consult Line. The consult line helps clinicians prescribe medications as well as provides psychiatry consultation. The team also helps shorten psychiatric evaluation wait times for pediatric patients who need diagnostic clarity for treatment planning.

In addition, the consult line supports providers in creating behavioral health care plans and navigating resources and referrals.
