To help employers prepare for fall vaccine season and catch up on important preventive care screenings, Vanderbilt Health Employer Solutions offers health fairs tailored to workforce health needs. The Corporate Health and Wellness team has a wide range of health screenings, education, coaching and resources available to help employers reach their goals of a healthier workforce.
Millions of people delayed preventive health activities during the pandemic, leading health care providers to fear increasing rates of preventable diseases. And with the slowdown of annual wellness visits for many people, the potential to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages has been compromised.
"These fairs are important opportunities to get employees reconnected to primary care post-pandemic—especially if they skipped preventative screenings associated with certain age milestones," said Donna Skupien, Vice President, Employer Solutions.
In July, the Corporate Health and Wellness team is partnering with Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) for an Adolescent Health Fair at the MNPS Employee Wellness Center. The fair will feature customized education for parents presented by experts from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Some employers even pair Vanderbilt Health Fairs with benefits information timed to open enrollment.
