The Preserving Fertility After Colorectal Cancer (PREFACE) Study is a clinical research study of individuals newly diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer between age 18 to 49 years at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
We are a team of researchers, medical doctors, nurses and patients working together to find new ways to improve health, including reproductive health, after a colorectal cancer diagnosis for adults age 49 years and younger.
Our long-term goals include to:
- Learn the specific concerns and needs of young patients along the cancer journey.
- Find out how cancer therapies impact reproductive health.
- Understand how health habits relate to fertility and sexual health.
This information may help us develop new strategies to improve cancer survivorship and reproductive health for young patients.
Your involvement in The PREFACE Study can make an impact in the lives of future young patients with colorectal cancer.
