Vanderbilt is excited to offer our Child Psychiatry Integrated Training track. This program is a five year integrated program with the following unique features above and beyond the exposure that all of our residents receive in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry:
PGY1:
- Career Development: Work with Child Faculty supervisor to identify an area of interest and mentor within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Clinical: (can include up to)
- 1-2 months of General Pediatrics
- 1 month of Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- 1 month of Pediatric Neurology
- Advising: Supervision by Child Faculty
PGY2:
- Career Development:
- Work with Child Faculty mentor on planning clinical and research electives.
- Clinical:
- 1 Month Child CL
- Advising:
- Identify areas of potential research, collaboration with mentor
PGY3:
- Career Development:
- ½ day dedicated elective time for research or clinical interest
- Research elective opportunities in autism, anxiety, substance abuse and more
- Clinical:
- Clinical elective opportunities including autism, consult-liaison, outpatient child psychiatry and education-based psychiatry
- Advising:
- Continued work with Child faculty focused on building lasting clinical and research experiences that will bridge residency and fellowship training.
PGY4/5:
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
