Objectives:
The activity is designed to help the learner:
1. Describe the role of the Office of Health Equity and how it aligns with efforts broadly at VUMC
2. Define Health Equity, Health Inequities, and contrast them against equality and disparities respectively
3. Present inequities that are present in Davidson County and some root causes
4. Find and identify resources and opportunities available to support and promote health equity at VUMC

The Seeds of Equity Training is provided for organizations that would like to learn more about health equity. The training is offered by the Health Equity Workgroup of the Mayor's Healthy Nashville Leadership Council.
