David Cooper, MD

Assistant Professor

 

Dr. Cooper is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering. Dr. Cooper earned his M.D. at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, where he also conducted research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He completed residency in radiation oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA and served as chief resident his final year.

Dr. Cooper practices general radiation oncology, and he aims to improve patient care through advancements in imaging, tumor localization, and adaptive radiotherapy. He is originally from Knoxville, TN and is excited to now serve the greater Nashville community.
