- Nashville is known as "Music City" due to it's strong ties to the music industry, especially country music
- It is also commonly called the "Athens of the South" due to the large number of universities. Nashville is home to Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Tennessee State University, Fisk University, Trevecca Nazarene University, and Lipscomb University

- Residents also have vacation on the holidays the department is closed (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, etc) unless assigned as Resident On Call
