Vanderbilt Pharmacy has provided specialty medications to patients for over 15 years. Patients with special health needs have been our focus. Our Pharmacy is a part of the Vanderbilt Medical Center that daily works with physicians and patients in providing specialty medications. We do this very well.
The Pharmacy has dedicated professional staff and workspace to support Specialty Pharmacy services.

The Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy staff will be contacting you regarding your medication needs and any required supplies. They will step you through the enrollment process, which will include information about you, your health, and your medications.
Once enrolled, the Specialty Pharmacy will be contacting you shortly after you begin your new specialty medication and each time before your refill is due.

The Pharmacy will utilize UPS and FedEx to deliver your medications and any required supplies to your designated residence.
Medications that are heat sensitive will be appropriately packaged.

If your prescription is able to be refilled, your medication and supplies will be to the delivery company within 2 business days. If there are issues refilling your prescription, the staff at the Pharmacy will contact you and update you regarding the status of your order.
All specialty medications will be delivered the next day. The Specialty Pharmacy will coordinate wth you when your medication will be delivered.

There is no charge for delivery.

Your copayment and any additional delivery fees will be charged to your credit card or debit card.

Yes, if you would like to pick up your specialty medication from any of the 4 Vanderbilt Pharmacies, please let us know when we contact you about your next refill.
