Overview of Grading On The Surgery Rotation
As of August 4, 2003, we no longer use letter grades to signify clinical clerkship performance. The guidelines are that up to 25% of the class will receive "honors" designation.
The expected and average grade on this clerkship will be "high pass."
You will be graded on clinical and testing performance as follows:
- 70% clinical *
- 15% shelf exam
- 15% oral exam
* Your clinical grade is comprised of :
- 60 % general surgery block
- 20% subspecialty #1
- 20% subspecialty #2
