Who We Are
Providing cutting-edge care in diagnosing and treating rare cancers
Neuroendocrine tumors are often slow growing and may go unnoticed in patients for years. They often arise in the stomach, pancreas and liver and manifest an array of symptoms, making them difficult to diagnose. We want to increase the awareness of these complicated and rare cancers, while offering patients an integrated team approach during their diagnosis and treatment.
Our multi-disciplinary team creates individualized treatment plans
The Vanderbilt Neuroendocrine Center was formed to create a central location where patients with neuroendocrine disease can receive comprehensive cutting-edge care using the latest diagnostic technologies and treatments. Our Center brings together a multi-disciplinary team of Vanderbilt’s renowned experts in surgical oncology, surgical sciences, imaging services and radiology, working together to create individualized treatment plans for each patient. We offer targeted chemotherapy, surgery and nutrition management, tailored to each patient’s needs to help them work towards regaining their quality of life. The Vanderbilt Neuroendocrine Center is a collaboration between the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and the Vanderbilt Digestive Disease Center.
