Eric Nuermberger, M.D., presented the Des Prez Lecture at Medicine Grand Rounds at VUMC on Thursday, October 1st, 2015. Dr. Nuermberger is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. His primary research interests are in the experimental chemotherapy of tuberculosis. His work uses well-validated murine models of active TB and latent TB infection to evaluate the efficacy of promising new antimicrobials.
His presentation "The Specter of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis" was well attended on Thursday morning. Dr. Nuermberger also met with various faculty members in the Division of Infectious Diseases while on campus.
