Owen Dougherty, BS

Owen received his bachelor’s degree in microbiology in 2019 from UTK. With a desire to acquire practical experience before applying for graduate programs, he has worked for two years in Vanderbilt labs. His research interests include immunology and host-pathogen interactions. He is looking to further develop the understanding of interactions between vocal fold epithelium cell and immune cell populations. Outside of the lab his interests include hiking, bird watching, and science fiction novels.
