Post-Sort
Collection Media
Some of the same rules apply for the media that you will bring to collect you sorted cells into. However, issue like protein concentration and Phenol Red no longer matter for the most part. Feel free to include whatever you think is best for for the well being of your cells, ask Core personnel if you require assistance on this. Please do follow the Pre-Sort guidelines regarding buffering, the same rules apply for this.
Antibiotics
Every care is taken prior to your sort to insure the sorter is as clean and free of contamination as we can make it. We still recommend that you include antibiotics in your collection media to prevent contamination post sort. The instrument is not an entirely closed system and it is not in a sterile environment, take extra precautions to safeguard you samples.
