Training

We offer several different training models no matter where your experience level is with flow. All training requests need to be made in iLab

  • BD Fortessa Basic Instrument Training: Learn how to run a cytometer on the FACS Diva Software. This will give you more flexibility when reserving either the 3-laser or 5-laser Fortessa.

  • BD Fortessa Advanced Instrument Training: Need more time on our instruments? Our advanced training gives you 24-hour card swipe access to the Flow core. We will go through basic maintenance and troubleshooting for the cytometers for those late-night or last-minute flow experiments.

  • Cytek Instrument Training: Learn how to run our spectral analyzer - the Cytek Aurora. This training will take you through doing proper titrations fit for this instrument, and a multicolor experiment set up on the Spectroflo software. By the end, you will be fully independent with 24-hour access.

  • BD FACS Aria III Cell Sorter Training: For experienced Fortessa users. Get more availability on our cell sorters and cheaper booking prices. Learn all the functions of our FASC Aria III.

  • Experimental Design Training: This training is lecture-based and great if you are brand new to flow, especially before you start using the instrument independently. This training covers the services we offer, basic flow experiment design, staining guidelines, and antibody titration.
