Able2Extract PDF Converter Available through the Vanderbilt Software Store

The Vanderbilt Software Store has added Able2Extract PDF Converter for Windows to its product catalog.   You can use Able2Extract PDF Converter to perform scheduled, batch conversions of selected portions of PDF files.  You can convert the PDF files into:

• HTML files
• Text files
• Excel spreadsheets (columns and tables are preserved)
• Editable Word documents (graphics and text are preserved)
• PowerPoint
• Publisher
• AutoCAD (vector images and text are preserved)
• Image formats such as JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, and PNG
• Open Office

You can also use Able2Extract to convert XPS (i.e. Microsoft’s competitor of PDF format) files into Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HTML format. Three products are available to departments for use on Vanderbilt owned computers and to employees and students for use on home devices:

• Able2Extract 7
• Able2 Extract 7 Professional
• Able2Extract 7 Upgrade to Professional
