Adobe announced the release of Creative Suite 6 (CS6) on Monday and expects to begin shipping the new version within a few weeks. Departments that purchase CS5.5 products through the Software Store on or after April 23, 2012 will receive a free upgrade to the corresponding CS6 product. In addition, customers who purchased maintenance through September 30, 2013 will receive a free upgrade to CS6.
The Software Store expects to offer the CS6 products as soon as Adobe releases volume license pricing and begins shipping the new version.

Adobe has discontinued the standalone versions of Design Premium and Web Premium and now bundles the two product suites into a new product called Design & Web Premium. Customers with active maintenance for Design or Web Premium will receive a free upgrade to Design & Web Premium.
Adobe also announced Adobe Creative Cloud and a new subscription-based licensing service for subscribing to individual Adobe products. These subscription options are only available to individuals. They are not available through volume licensing or to higher education. Individuals can purchase subscriptions through the retail market or at Adobe.com.
