Vanderbilt participates in Adobe’s Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP). Our CLP contract expires September 30, 2013. CLP enables departments to buy perpetual licenses (i.e. licenses that do not expire) for Adobe software products at discount. Departments may optionally bundle maintenance with each license purchase. Departments that purchase maintenance are eligible to upgrade to the next release of their licensed product at no additional cost if Adobe releases a new version during Vanderbilt’s contract term.
Last fall, Adobe discontinued selling maintenance for Creative Suite products through CLP and last week, Adobe announced it has no plans for future releases of Creative Suite. Customers who need access to new releases of Adobe products must purchase a subscription to Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud is a different product from Creative Suite and provides:
· Access to Adobe products that you install locally
· Product maintenance
· Cloud data storage
· File syncing for accessing data files from multiple devices
· Services for building and publishing websites, mobile apps, and content

Creative Cloud (CC) membership options for education include:
· Creative Cloud for individual for individual use by students and teachers
· Creative Cloud for teams - for small work groups, but not for computer labs or classrooms
· Creative Cloud for enterprise – provides an entire institution with access to CC apps through an Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA)
· Creative Cloud desktop apps – gives schools access to CC apps through Adobe’s new Education Enterprise Agreement (EEA)
Adobe is continuing to offer CLP, but it will not offer CC through CLP.
