Change in Microsoft Student Select Program

Starting April 1, 2012, Vanderbilt students and employees will no longer be able to buy the products listed below through the Microsoft Student Select Program: oMicrosoft Office oMicrosoft Windows 7 Upgrade oMicrosoft Expressions Studio This means Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff will no longer be able to place orders for these products through the Vanderbilt Software Store (http://vanderbilt.onthehub.com) under the Students/Microsoft Select tab and the Faculty/Staff/Microsoft Select tab respectively. Microsoft announced it is still evaluating whether or not it will continue to offer Microsoft Project Professional, Microsoft Visio Premium, and Microsoft Visio Professional through Student Select. Vanderbilt students will continue to be eligible for a free copy of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade through Vanderbilt’s Microsoft Campus Agreement Student Option Program. Students can order their free copy Office and Windows through the Vanderbilt Software Store (http://vanderbilt.onthehub.com) under the Students/Microsoft Student Option tab. Students receive perpetual use rights through Student Option to Office and Windows Upgrade upon graduation. Vanderbilt employees will continue to be eligible to buy Office for $9.95 through the Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP). HUP enables employees to install Office on a home computer for doing Vanderbilt work. Visit http://its.vanderbilt.edu/microsoft to place an order through HUP. Employees will also continue to be eligible to buy Windows Upgrade for $9.75 through the Microsoft Work at Home Program. Work at Home enables employees to install Windows Upgrade on a home computer for doing Vanderbilt work. Purchase through http://vanderbilt.onthehub under the Faculty/Staff/Microsoft Work at Home tab.
