Windows 10 is coming to Vanderbilt University Medical Center! The debut of Windows 10, the operating system for our workstations, will bring new features to users across Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Windows 10 also provides the ideal technology platform to help us continually improve and secure our systems and stay in sync with the Medical Center’s rapid growth.
Currently, VUMC IT and Health IT are finalizing plans for how and when the upgrade will take place. The team will carefully execute the rollout of Windows 10 to:
· Minimize disruption to patient care
· Ensure easy access to the applications and resources you use
· Prepare the Medical Center for the end of Windows 7 support
IT Teams are working with a network of site leaders throughout the Medical Center to ensure individual departments and areas are prepared for their transition to Windows 10.
