Follow the steps below for a smooth first day with Vanderbilt University Medical Center:

1. Have you claimed your Vanderbilt identity? 

Go to AccessVUMC and claim your VUMC ID and set up your password. This will provide and your badge for entering facilities. Your VUMC ID and password credentials are what you'll use to login to VUMC resources. Visit AccessVUMC when you need to manage your VUMC ID or change your password.

2. Have you enrolled in multi-factor authentication?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) provides a secure connection between devices and VUMC resources. We will keep you updated on MFA security at VUMC.

3. Have you set up your virtual workstation?

Use just about any workstation by logging into your virtual workstation.

4. Have you setup Outlook Email on the web?

Outlook on the Web (OWA) provides email access from anywhere! Login anytime, from anywhere, at https://outlook.office.com/mail/ 

5. Do you need to send a secure file?

Use Sensitivity Labels within Outlook Email to send files securely. Find out more about Sensitivity Labels here

6. Do you know where to store your individual files?

Create and store your individual files using OneDrive for Business. Find out how easy it is to move your files here.
