Kudos
Feb 2022: We received an incredible Kudos from a mom today. Her son is a severely autistic child who is nonverbal. She requested that the charge nurse come speak to her in the lobby while her son was in the OR. After Katie B and I went to the lobby, she raved on and on about how incredible our team is. She was so happy that her and dad's opinions and suggestions were taken into consideration and used by our team. She particularly singled out Savannah and Maddie who cared for him pre-op. She also was extremely complimentary of Dr. Romanelli who sat on the ground with her son to start his IV. She said this was the best experience they have ever had with him in a healthcare setting and wanted to make sure that our team (HR, OR and anesthesia) was acknowledged for their extra hard work and efforts. They said they had never seen him so happy since his injury occurred.
