Cory Smeltzer, RN, BSN, CCRN

Cory Smeltzer currently leads as the Manager of Holding Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Radiology Recovery. After graduating from Belmont in 2013, Cory gained experience on an acute care medical unit prior to transferring to Vanderbilt’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has found a home in the Holding Room and PACU since 2015.  Cory spent four years working simultaneously as a clinical instructor, and this experience was formative to her stepping into the role of Clinical Staff Leader beginning in 2020. Cory is a certified critical care nurse who values family-centered care, improving patient outcomes, and staff involvement in decision making.  In her free time, she can be found running, travelling, and sipping on lavender lattes.
