Karen Kiernon, BSN, RN, CNOR

Karen Kiernon began her nursing career in Tennessee in 1994 and soon after found a home in the Operating Room.  After moving and working in Texas and Kansas, she found her way back to Nashville and joined the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Operating Room staff in May 2004. Since then she was a staff nurse and the weekend team leader. Now, she is the Clinical Staff Leader and supports 15-20 RNs and CSTs for Orthopedics and Dental Surgery. She is an active member of the Middle TN AORN chapter. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
