The Department of Radiology is excited to welcome David Cline, MD, MPA as an Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, in our Breast Imaging Section.
A highly decorated military veteran and educator, Dr. Cline served the United States for many years while deployed overseas. He joined the US Navy in 1981 and retired in 2019 with the rank of Navy Captain O6.
Dr. Cline spent nearly two decades of his career in the navy as a Diagnostic Radiologist—many of those years at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He also spent a decade at La Maestra Community Health Clinics. Dr. Cline has recently held faculty appointments at both UHUHS School of Medicine in Maryland and the University of California in San Diego.
Dr. Cline graduated from Creighton University's School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 1992. In 2000, he earned his MPA with a concentration in Health Care Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Dr Cline completed the program remotely from Hickam Air Force Base in O'ahu, Hawaii.
In 2006, Dr. Cline completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of California in San Dan Diego. He followed it up with a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, which he finished in 2011.
