Eben Rosenthal, MD, Professor and Chair for the Department of Otolaryngology, has received a secondary appointment as Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences.
Dr. Rosenthal holds many appointments in the university, including the Barry and Amy Baker Chair in Laryngeal, Head and Neck Research, and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Otolaryngology. He is also a Professor for the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology.
“I am committed to several novel areas of research that require critical collaborations with Radiology, including intraoperative molecular imaging,” says Dr. Rosenthal. “I believe that molecular imaging will be the most important aspect of finding better therapies for cancer patients and improving drug resistance.”
Specializing in the treatment and reconstruction of head and neck cancer, Dr. Rosenthal works in the Barry and Amy Baker Laboratory, researching optical imaging techniques to better detect cancer during surgical procedures. He has initiated multiple clinical trials in improving cancer surgery and assessing drug delivery.
