A new case report authored by Hamideh Ale Ali, MD, Nuclear Medicine Fellow, and Philip Scherer, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, has been published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
The study, “Gastrosplenic Fistula Secondary to Simultaneous Gastric and Splenic Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma,” explores a rare complication of lymphoma. Dr. Ali and Dr. Scherer present a case of gastrosplenic fistula secondary to gastric and splenic involvement by diffuse large B cell lymphoma with relevant imaging findings, and the patient has successfully been treated with surgical resection.
