Lucy Spalluto, M.D., Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, was recently named the 2016 recipient of the Early Career Faculty Professional Leadership Award by the American Association for Women Radiologists (AAWR).
Provided by the AAWR Research and Education Foundation, the award will sponsor Spalluto to attend the Association of American Medical Colleges' (AAMC) Early Career Women Faculty Professional Development Seminar. The three and a half day seminar will provide an opportunity for women physicians and scientists holding medical school appointments at the instructor or assistant professor level to hone the knowledge and skills required to successfully navigate the academic health enterprise and to continue down the path to leadership.
Spalluto is a board-certified radiologist specializing in Women’s Imaging. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
